Saturday, June 25, 2022 Drive-to-Dine Green Bay Review

It was an overcast Summer day on Saturday, June 25th for a Drive-to-Dine at The Depot restaurant in downtown Green Bay. We had 13 attendees with an assortment of Mercedes Benz vehicles. My C43 was in for service so I resorted to my wife Nancy’s Audi, and Andrew Opicka was there with his Porsche 911. All marques are welcome at our events!

The Depot was ready for our group and we were situated in a private room adjacent to the main seating area of the restaurant. Our Drive-to-Dine in Green Bay could have used more attendees; but I believe weather in other locations may have been a factor. Overall; it was a good experience.

A few members toured The Automobile Gallery afterwards, and viewed approximately 100 vehicles that are on display in the collection that is made up of the founder’s own cars, donated vehicles, and also those on loan from enthusiasts. Many of the cars on display were the personal vehicles of William “Red” Lewis, the founder of PDQ Car Washes in NE Wisconsin, and the founder of The Automobile Gallery. Red recently passed and was always a knowledgeable and pleasurable person to speak with about cars. Making cars look good was his life’s work and passion. He felt that cars were truly works of mechanical art. Please visit the collection.  It’s outstanding and eclectic, and mirrors Red Lewis’ personality.
