2021 Christmas Party & Annual Meeting Review
Sunday December 5, 2021
Shrugging off the first real blast of winter, 48 members and guests attended the Christmas Party and Annual Meeting at the Golden Mast on Lake Okauchee. It was great to see so many members turn out as we gathered in their festively decorated banquet hall for conversation, catching up with one another and exchanging Christmas greetings.
After a champagne toast to a successful 2021 and anticipation of an even better 2022, we enjoyed the Golden Mast’s fabulous Sunday brunch while enjoying the slide show recapping 2021 events played continuously, helping remind us of how successful the year was.
After brunch President Bruce Hamilton conducted our annual meeting. Guest and new members were recognized and welcomed, and Bruce reviewed the 2022 event calendar. Dan Hellenberg covered election results while Frank Lubinski reviewed the financial condition of the Section and some of the challenges we face due to lack of financial support from MBCA National.
Frank was then presented with his Member of the Year Award for his years of service as Treasurer of our Section. In his acceptance remarks Frank thanked all the members and reflected on his 30+ years of membership. Congratulations Frank!
Gift certificates from the Golden Mast were passed out to all in attendance, and the first two events of 2022, our Valentine’s Drive-to-Dine and the March Fish Fry, were highlighted.
The Annual Meeting concluded on a very positive note with everyone looking forward to 2022. The day didn’t end there, as many remained long after the Meeting enjoying the camaraderie and good cheer!
