It’s been a busy time just before this issue of the Badger Star.  Since the middle of September we’ve had three events; be sure and read the reviews elsewhere in this newsletter.  I want to thank everyone who has participated in these events, and give special thanks to the folks that organized and/or hosted them:  John Ledbury, Bernd and Christine Kampe, and Kyle & Krista Mahan.

Live events continue!

The weather is getting cooler and the leaves are starting to turn, but that doesn’t mean that Wisconsin Section events are winding down.  October brings our Concours, Fall Color Tour and a Fall Rallye.  We will wind up 2020 with our Christmas Party and Annual Meeting.

Check out the complete event calendar elsewhere in this newsletter.  Also look for frequent emails and check the Section’s website often for the most up-to-date event calendar.

A final word…We are looking for event ideas and suggestions for the 2021 event calendar.  Have a suggestion or idea?  Please don’t be shy, contact any board member with your thoughts or suggestions.

It’s Election Time!

Ballots for the 2020 Election of Directors will be sent out to members of record as of September 30th, per the Wisconsin Section roster maintained by the MBCA National office.  If we have your email address, you will receive a message from the Club’s email address, [email protected] containing a link to the online ballot.  Others will receive a paper ballot which must be completed and returned.  If you have an email address but prefer a paper ballot, please let me know ASAP.  Voting will remain open through November 30th, and results will be announced at our Christmas Party & Annual Meeting.

Membership Highlights

I want to welcome our new members and congratulate our members celebrating membership milestones and anniversaries in October and November.  They are all listed elsewhere in this newsletter.

And I would be remiss if I didn’t thank each and every member of the Wisconsin Section for being a member.  It’s you who make this Section successful.  I look forward to seeing all of you in person at an upcoming event.

In Memoriam

I close these remarks on a somber note.  Ron Sdun, a member since February 1987, passed away on August 4th.  Ron was a past board member and served as our membership director for many years.  The Section has made a memorial in Ron’s name.

Best regards,

Bruce Hamilton
