Our MB Club's fall color tour will start with everyone arriving by 12:00 noon, when the Wollersheim Winery and Distillery opens its doors.   A few luncheon items will be available at their Bistro.  A ham or turkey with cheese sandwich is $8 and small sample bottle or glass of their wines is about $5-$6.  Mixed drinks are also available at the Distillery for $6+.  People can eat a sandwich lunch inside their rustic Bistro or at tables outside if weather permits.   We will plan to start the tour drive at about 1:00 pm.  We will be driving north on Hwy 78 along the scenic Wisconsin River and then north on Hwy 113 to Devil's Lake State Park.  Then we turn west onto the South Lake Road past park campgrounds and picnic areas.  State park stickers are not required if you only drive through these parks...if you do not stop anywhere.  After we leave the park, we will drive a few miles further north onto Hwy 123 into Baraboo, which is home to the Circus World Museum, the Ringling Theater, and Al Ringling's family mansion/museum.  Some people may want to visit or at least drive by these historic places in Baraboo.   Al Ringling Mansion and Museum, 608-448-7455, is located near the downtown square. The last hourly tours start at 2:00 and 3:00 pm and closes at 4:00 pm.  Adults--$20 admission (www.alringlingmansion.com). Reservations are not required. The Al Ringling Theatre (built in 1915) is located on the downtown square.  It is open on Saturday from 1:00-6:00 pm.  (www.alringling.org) Circus World Museum is closed on weekends.  It is open M-F, 10:00 am-4:00 pm.  (www.circusworldbaraboo.org) We decided that the club tour will not go further up to Mirror Lake State Park as we had originally envisioned.  We discovered  that the driveway entrance is closed to the cabin which had been designed by Frank Lloyd Wright. We could not even view it from the outside as we had hoped.
